Trevor at The Prancing Walrus mines the history and variety of lolcats. New to me was “Confuse A Cat, Ltd.,” which Trevor tells me is an old Monty Python sketch. All I can conclude is that in fact Monty Python is the father of the Internet.
Which no doubt confirms many suspicions.
What’s amazing about this one too is that the stage performance that ultimately confuses the cat is very much bringing Terry Gilliam’s animations in Monty Python episodes into the “real world” of actors and actions. Fascinating, and not something that clicked when i saw this the first time around. And then when you make the LOLcat connection it all clicks. Monty Python did indeed invent the internet.
